The Man & Woman of the Year event is a competition that combines all the thrills of running a campaign with the important task of raising money to fight leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers. The Man & Woman of the Year campaign has been a signature event of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Rocky Mountain Chapter since 2000.

Candidates are nominated to run for Man or Woman of the Year.  They are typically well-connected figures in their community.  They are encouraged to have a campaign staff and raise money through letter writing/email campaigns, sponsorships, third party events, etc.  They may seek donations from family, friends, coworkers and employers. 

We are thrilled to announce our

2009 MAN & WOMAN OF THE YEAR!

William P. Buckley, Denver Attorney and member of the Board of Trustees for the Rocky Mountain Chapter was named the 2009 Man of the Year, raising over $32,000!!

Lisa Straffon, Event Planner for Vistar was named the 2009 Woman of the Year raising over $20,000!!
