Team Joey at 24 Hours of Daytona
Joey and Lonnie
Joey & Lonnie McNeill

Professional racecar driver Bransen Patch, of Matthews, NC, will be racing in the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona the weekend of January 26-28. This race is unique in that Bransen's Race Team, Autometrics Motor Sports, has partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the race to cure Myeloma.

In October 2006, Joey McNeill, a best friend to many, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.  Bransen, along with his college roommate Todd Saieed, have found a unique way to raise blood cancer awareness. Instead of plastering his racecar with typical corporate sponsors and logos, Patch's car will display "Team Joey" for the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona and continue representing "Team Joey" for the remainder of the Season.

A devoted husband to his soul mate, Lonnie, of 18 years, the doting father of three girls: Jessica 15, Jodi 14, and Bailey 9, and a dedicated businessman to the family-owned Ward's Fruit & Produce in Raleigh, NC, Joey is deep in the trenches in his fight against Myeloma. To date, he has successfully completed the first of two stem cell transplants and he will continue to fight this battle, along with "Team Joey," until his goal of remission is achieved!

"Team Joey" consists of a dedicated circle of friends, family, and business associates who are committed to finding a cure for blood cancers through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Thanks to Patch and all of "Team Joey," the Daytona 24 will be a day to celebrate life and offer hope to the future.
