The Bands! Creekside Soul is a band of many influences but all pay tribute to the rootsy sounds of American music. Rock, Soul and Country. Kind of a blend of Memphis meets Detroit meets Philly, and they all take a vacation in Nashville. Many of the band members have played together in various forms and bands and have decided to combine their efforts to come up with a strong sound that encompasses all of our influences but still be able to stay focused on the thread that all of us really enjoy. Although Creekside Soul is mainly a cover band, many of the members are songwriters and hope to be able to tap into those resources in a collective effort to bring a new creative influence to light. Creekside does perform some original music already written by some of the members. Click here to check out Creekside Soul on Myspace.
Fink's Constant believes reggae and ska are two styles of music, one born of the other. Both tug at your heart and feet, making you want to move and groove. They are rare in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware, and are about social change, racial equality, political issues and global consciousness. Fink's Constant is comprised of six men: Chad McCartney on trumpet, Don Wood on trombone, Zak Nye on guitar, Mike Fox as lead singer, John Micek on bass, and Andy Hartman on drums. For three years, Fink's Constant has honed and perfected its sound, playing over 250 gigs at over 50 different venues. They play from a library of over 60 songs, over 40 of which are originals written by either Mike Fox or Chad McCartney. The band has also self-produced three albums, earning the respect of anyone for which they have played. Fink's Constant continues to write, record and seek out new places to perform to further their musical message. Click here to check out Fink's Constant on Myspace.
