Relentless for a Cure Award

Call for Nominations

The Minnesota Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is currently accepting nominations for the 2009 Relentless for a Cure Award.  The award is presented to an outstanding Minnesota medical professional whose research, diagnosis and/or treatment has contributed to improved quality of life for patients and their families and/or great advancements in the field of lymphoma or blood cancers.  The professional can be a physician or a researcher who is actively practicing or retired.

Nominations for the 2009 award are now being accepted. The deadline for submission is Monday, February 16.  A selection committee of medical professionals and LLS staff will evaluate the nominees and make a decision by Friday, March 27.  Nominations can be made by medical professionals, patients, and others who have special interest in the mission of LLS: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to  improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Please submit via mail, email or fax:

  • Name of professional being nominated;
  • Professional's place of employment (or, former place of employment in the case of retired professionals);
  • Name/contact information of the person nominating the professional;
  • Brief explanation of why the professional should be considered for the award
    (300 - 350 words, or less).

Top candidates will be contacted to submit a copy of their curriculum vitae to the committee.
