Watch the Lexington Legends, the Lexington minor-league baseball team, play against the Augusta Greenjackets.  The first 500 people in receive free Leukemia & Lymphoma Society gear, and everyone gets to learn about what the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society does when our video plays on the Jumbotron!


The Folk Club of Frankfort presents "Come for the Music" of Hay and Ellis StirFry 

Where: Capital Plaza Hotel, 405 Wilkinson Boulevard, Frankfort

When: Friday, April 18th, 7:30PM

"Host": Brynn Embley

Local favorites Joanna Hay and Jeff Ellis will be joined by Frankfort violinist Molly Rogers. They will be backed by percussionist Jordon Ellis, bass player/accordionist Ben Griffith and bass guitarist Marcus Brothwell.

Hay and Ellis StirFry will perform Eastern European folk music, Celtic aires, jazz standards and vibrant originals played with gypsy virtuosity. Ben Griffith will also be featured as a strolling accordionist in the lounge and lobby areas beginning at 6:45. The concert proper will be opened at 7:30 by a set each from Lauren Houston, a singer-songwriter from Morning View, Kentucky, and Frankfort's own Jeri Katherine Howell, joined by Daphne Fields on bass and vocals.

Tickets are $10 adult, $5 student; 12 and $7, respectively, at the door. They're available in advance at Poor Richard's Books, 233 W. Broadway, Frankfort, 233-8018.
