The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man & Woman of the Year event is part of a national compaign to raise funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.  Hundreds of men and women in LLS chapters across the U.S. vie each year for the title.  Candidates will raise funds in honor of our Boy & Girl of the Year, Reese Endresen and Samantha Gangloff.  Both children have battled a blood cancer.

THE EVENTS
KICK OFF PARTY
April 21, 2009  
Marriott Riverside (3400 Market Street, Riverside)
A celebratory evening, with hors d'oeuvres and drinks, kicks off the 10-week fundraising period. Candidates and their guests, LLS staff, and board members meet the Boy & Girl of the Year and learn more about the mission. Fun and excitement are also on the agenda.

GRAND FINALE
June 30, 2009 
Marriott Riverside (3400 Market Street, Riverside) 
This celebration features fabulous food, cocktails, music, and a fabulous silent & live auction. Celebrate the successes of all candidates and the end of the competition. The evening includes a brief guest speaker presentation, candidate video, presentation of all candidates, and the much anticipated announcement of the 2009 Man & Woman of the Year!
