Special thanks and congratulations to Caron Lawler, winner of the 20th Anniversary T-Shirt Design Contest!

Caron is a patient, volunteer and artist who utilizes her time and artistic talents to create art pieces to auction at many LLS events.

Caron was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) in October, 1999. The day she was diagnosed, she was admitted to Roswell Park Cancer Institute and immediately began treatment. Her family was told she had less than a week to live.

Over the next few years, she bravely fought her cancer and underwent chemotherapy, an auto-stem cell transplant, more treatment, and an allo transplant. Caron found hope and help in LLS's programs and patient services. She is an inspiration and she gives hope to others.
