Over the past 17 years, Freddie Hoffman has been instrumental in promoting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma. Freddie's mother and 19 other relatives passed away from leukemia and his dedication to the Society has become a passionate 24/7/365 commitment.
In 2005, Freddie completed his 17th solo ride to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Northern New Jersey Chapter, raising nearly $35,000 through donations from individuals and companies throughout America.
Overall, Freddie has volunteered over 25,000 hours, has raised close to $650,000 for the Society and has cycled over a million miles - enough to have travelled to the moon and back twice! Freddie has pedaled all over the country and he has been greeted by governors, mayors and countless other supporters throughout the United States.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is honored to have such a strong relationship with such a wonderful man. Freddie has also been recognized countless times by his community and is the only person to ever hold the title of "Man of the Decade" for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Northern New Jersey Chapter. He is a nominee for the Volvo For Life Award.
