Dress Down Day

Employees in your place of business can dress in their favorite casual attire and help save lives, upon approval from employer. Please join the many companies in the Western & Central New York region who will participate in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Dress Down Day.

For a $5 donation, your employees are invited to "Dress Down" in their favorite casual attire on Friday, May 21, 2010 or a date more convenient for your company.

If your company is normally in casual attire, consider choosing a theme instead, like hat day or favorite sports team jersey day.

HOW TO INCREASE YOUR COMPANY'S IMPACT
- Ask your Human Resources Department if they have a matching gifts
program. Some companies will double or triple the donation amount.
- To increase participation, offer a deal: for a specified donation, employees can
dress in casual attire on 2 or 3 different days.
- Buy a bag of "fun size" candy and sell pieces in conjunction with Dress Down
Day. The candy proceeds will help make a bigger impact.
- Offer a prize for the employee who comes in with the wackiest outfit, or
who makes a larger donation than the usual $5. For example, half a day off,
  boss washes their car, etc.

Why Participate
  - Fun day that employees will enjoy at no cost to the company
  - Easy to coordinate
  - Great employee morale booster
  - Funds raised are spent locally and support blood cancer research and local
     patient aid & services.
  - Your company's participation will help advance our mission to CURE leukemia,
lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life
    of patients and their families.
