The Oklahoma Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society kicked off the 2009 Man and Woman of the Year Campaign on March 15th, 2009. The campaign ended 10 weeks later on May 21st, 2009 at a gala event held at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City. More than 380 people attended the gala to participate in the live and silent auctions and to watch the announcement of the 2009 Man & Woman of the Year. 2008 Woman of the Year Cherokee Ballard emcee'd the event and served as the 2009 Man & Woman of the Year Committee Chair.
