Minnesota Family Support Groups

The Family Support Group program was established throughout the country to link patients and their families to a place where information, education and feelings can be shared in a comfortable and caring environment.

Family Support Groups are for anyone affected by blood cancer and are free.

All of our Family Support Groups are facilitated by two credentialed health/mental health professionals who have extensive oncology and group work experience. They are prepared to handle sensitive issues such as loss, guilt, treatment questions and family stressors.

The groups are not a replacement for psychotherapy. They are designed to provide mutual support and education to members who may feel a little less alone by meeting with others whose situations are similar to their own. Family Support Groups can be looked at as a coping tool, in conjunction with a patient's medical treatment.

Would you like to be reminded of upcoming meetings and special events for a specific group? If so, please click here and submit your information. You will be added to the mailing list for only the groups you specify. This list will NOT be used for any other purpose.
