How do I sign up to volunteer?

To sign up or for more information, please call or email the volunteer coordinator at 206.628.0777 or Allison.Miyauchi@lls.org. Office volunteers will complete an application to determine interests and availability. Because some volunteers may come into contact with confidential information, office volunteers and interns are required to sign a Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement. Event volunteers are not required to fill out any paperwork.

How old do I need to be?

Office volunteers must be 15 years of age or older, unless accompanied by an adult to work along side them. Event volunteers must be 16 years of age or older, unless accompanied by an adult to work along side them.

Do you accept court-ordered and service-learning volunteers?

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society does accept court-ordered and service learning volunteers for both in office and event volunteer work. It is the responsibility of the volunteer to provide any paper work that needs to be filled out or any appropriate information to be submitted by the Volunteer Coordinator. The amount of work available affects the number of hours court-ordered or service-learning volunteers may complete through LLS. While LLS will assist with tracking completed hours, it is the responsiblity of the volunteer to keep an individual record of their hours and find supplemental volunteer hours when necessary.

Are there other ways I can get involved?

Do you have a talent you'd like to donate? Do you have an idea for an internship? Let us know! We can't accommodate all proposals, but will do our best to give you the best volunteer experience possible.
