Family Support Groups

Family Support Groups

The Family Support Group program is based on the idea that open communication is critical for coping with all the feelings that arise during illness. Professionally led groups help patients and family members discuss their anxieties with each other and with others who share the same burden.  This sharing of ideas and emotions strengthen the family bond and enhances everyone's ability to cope with the disease. All patients, family members and friends affected by leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma are invited to attend free of charge.

The North Texas Chapter offers free support groups led by healthcare and oncology professionals.  They are open to patients, family members and friends, and they all meet in the evening.
