2010 Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour

                 July 24th & 25th, 2010

                                              Presented By:

THANK YOU!

A big thank you to our dedicated riders and volunteers who stuck it out despite the heavy rains Saturday morning for what turned out to be a great weekend and another amazing Scenic Shore 150!

We would like to thank all of our wonderful volunteers, riders and sponsors for your support and donations for this year's ride. Your help and enthusiasm is what makes the Scenic Shore 150 such a successful event year after year. This year we had an outstanding turnout with 963 riders and 189 volunteers!

There's Still Time to Raise Money!

We are very close to breaking our all-time fundraising record! As of July 28, we have raised $576,075 so far to fight blood cancers and are very close to surpassing our 2008 fundraising record and meeting our goal of $630,000.

Donations can still be made to LLS through the deadline of August 13 and will count towards your incentives.

If you took pictures during this year's ride we'd love to use them on our Web site, in upcoming newsletters, and in other promotional items. Upload them to our Facebook page or mail them to our Brookfield office on a CD.

Our 2010 Donations Goal: $630,000

Bone marrow transplants were pioneered by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society researchers and have saved thousands of lives.  Since 1954, LLS has awarded more than $600 million in research funding, because we believe leukemia research findings are a key to finding cures to all cancers.

The five-year relative survival rate for Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL), the most common form of childhood cancer, has risen from 4% 30 years ago to 86% today as a result of research funded by your generous donations.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

2010 Volunteer Goal: 300 VOLUNTEERS

The Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour could not succeed without the help of our friendly and enthusiastic volunteers.

As a volunteer, you can make a difference to the millions of people whose lives are touched by blood cancers.

The funds this event raises will be invested into critical cancer research, patient services, and other activities to help enhance, prolong, and save the lives of people with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, & myeloma.

Click here to find a detailed description on volunteering opportunities.

For more information on volunteering, contact Kim Kokott at 262-785-4244.

Congratulations to The Scenic Shore 150!

The Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour won the Favorite Charity Ride award at the 2010 FEDDY Awards! (The Wisconsin Bike Fed).

The inaugural FEDDY Awards was held on Saturday, April 10th in conjunction with the Wheel & Sprocket Bike Expo at the Wisconsin Expo Center.

Thank you to fellow riders, family and friends who voted!
