Join thousands of schools nationwide as they raise funds to help cure leukemia and other blood-related cancers through the Pennies for Patients® program. Pennies for Patients is a two-week campaign in which students of all ages are encouraged to donate spare change to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The classroom in each participating school that collects the most money will be awarded a pizza party. Plus, each school raising more than $500 is eligible for great prizes!
The Society makes the program easy for schools by providing all materials needed: lesson plans and educational materials on blood-related cancers, an age-appropriate video, coin canisters and coin-counting tubes. In addition, each school will be raising funds in honor of a local leukemia patient.
It is not too early to sign up for next year's Pennies for Patients program, which runs from March 3 through March 14, 2003. If you are interested in getting your school involved, please contact Kelly Theurer at (206) 957-4573 or (888) 345-4572, ext. 113. Your small change means big change for leukemia and blood-related cancer patients and their families!
