Thank you for your incredible support! The 2010 Scott Firefighter Stairclimb event has officially sold out for our March 7, 2010 event.
Congratulations 2010 Participants!
On Sunday, March 7, 2010 more than 1,500 firefighters from 250 departments across the Pacific Northwest and beyond competed in this timed race to the top of the Columbia Center in full combat gear and self contained breathing apparati (SCBA). This unique event is the largest individual firefighter competition in the world.
View event photos, check results, and keep fundraising! In order to qualify for great incentive prizes, the pledge collection deadline is March 30. Please remember that each participating firefighter is required to meet a $75 fundraising minimum by the pledge collection deadline in order to be eligible to compete in future Scott Firefighter Stairclimbs.
A special thank you to Sarah Alston and Sarah Alson Photography for donating her time and services to document the climb! Please see her photos here.
ONLINE FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE!

Congratulations to Matthew Klapper from Summit Fire Department (NJ) who won the online fundraising challenge with $8,172 in online pledges through February 28th! He won a three-day Baldface Snowcat skiing trip for two during the 2011 Winter Season.

ABOUT THE EVENT
At 788 feet of vertical elevation, the Columbia Center (formerly Bank of America Tower) in downtown Seattle stands as the second tallest building west of the Mississippi. It takes 69 flights of stairs and 1,311 steps to reach the highly acclaimed observation deck overlooking the city.
The Scott Firefighter Stairclimb supports the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, raising money through sponsorships, individual and department fundraising, and entry fees. In 2009, the event featured over 1,500 firefighters from 244 different departments and brought in a record $640,000 for blood-cancer research and patient services.
