The 2009 Fantasy Sail took place at the San Francisco Yacht Club in beautiful Belvedere, CA on October 15-16, with nearly 100 sailors who had raised at least $8,500 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission during the 2009 Regatta season joining Jobson for an exciting weekend. Local J/105 skippers and crew donated their support to race in six Leukemia Cup Challenge races in San Francisco Bay.
We deeply appreciate the support of the San Francisco Yacht Club's, officers, members and staff, who contributed many hours developing the race course, organizing the race committee, handling all on-water logistics, and providing spectator boats for guests.
Jobson, who has been hosting the event for 15 years, sailed aboard many of the boats and spent time with all participants. View pictures from the 2009 and past Fantasy Sails.
During the Fantasy Sail dinner, Galen Piltz, Bob Herzog and David Forbes of West Marine selected the winner of a $1,000 shopping spree at a West Marine store. Entrants included all Leukemia Cup participants who had raised at least $500 or more at a 2009 event. The winner of the 2009 $1,000 West Marine shopping spree is Bill Boggs of Leesburg, VA.
