"Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma:
Understanding Your Disease and Treatment Options"
This program is for patients, family members, friends and healthcare professionals. This program will discuss information about making an accurate diagnosis, NHL treatment options, emerging treatments and the role of clinical trials. A patient panel will also discuss coping with different types of non-Hodgkin lymphomas.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The Wellness Community and Easton Hospital are presenting this continuing education activity for nurses, social workers, psychologists, chaplains, counselors, and healthcare professionals whose primary practice is oncology patients and their families. The goal of this activity is to increase healthcare professionals knowledge of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL).
OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
1. Explain the importance of an accurate diagnosis to ensure optimal treatment.
2. List current NHL treatment options.
3. Identify emerging treatments under study for NHL.
4. Explain the role of clinical trials in the advancement of NHL therapies.
