The results are in! The 29th Annual KGO Radio Cure-A-Thon to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society raised $787,337! Many thanks to the KGO Radio staff and talent, our wonderful volunteers, listeners and donors who made this event so successful. All proceeds from the Cure-A-Thon will help pave the way for newer, better therapies that will benefit generations to come.
History
The event began 28 years ago and has grown dramatically since its inception, raising more than$16 million dollars for research on blood cancers. Many of the personalities that are involved have been involved since the very beginning, including KGO Radio general manager Mickey Luckoff, event chairman Robert "Spider" Cantley and the Society's Northern California Chapter founding member Paul Handlery.
