Man & Woman of the Year !

The Kick Off Event is scheduled for April 16, 2007 at The Forge Miami Beach.  The Grand Finale is scheduled for June 8, 2007 at the Hyatt Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale.  If you are interested in running for Man or Woman of the Year, please contact Rhonda Siegel at 954.961.3234 or Rhonda.Siegel@LLS.org.

Man & Woman of the Year:  The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man & Woman of the Year is a national campaign that raises funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's Disease and myeloma.  Hundreds of men and women throughout the nation vie for the title each year.

All candidates vying for the title of Man & Woman of the Year agree to utilize their leadership abilities to conduct their own fundraising campaigns for the Society.  Every dollar counts as one vote.  The male and female candidates with the most funds raised are named the chapter's Man & Woman of the Year.  Their totals are then considered for the national Man & Woman of the Year competition.

What makes this campaign unique from other fundraising events is our mission component:  each Man & Woman of the Year candidate is raising funds in honor of a Boy & Girl of the Year, who are local children currently undergoing treatment or who have undergone treatment for a blood cancer.
