The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), based in White Plains, NY, is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. LLS's mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since its founding in 1949, the Society has invested more than $560 million for research specifically targeting blood cancers.

Volunteer Opportunities
If you feel you have the time, a special skill or the motivation to make a change in the lives of others, please contact us about volunteer opportunities. Some of our ongoing needs are:

  • Clerical support (mail stuffing,data entry, making calls,stamping literature, etc.)
  • Advocacy efforts
  • Patient Services Committee
  • Patient resource development 
  • Organization of community training
  • Ambassadors to local agencies and health fairs
  • First Connection volunteers
  • Event volunteers (registration, greeting participants, food prep/service, etc.)
  • Marketing, public relations, event planning support

Fundraising Programs
Join us for one of our signature events:

  • Light The Night® Walk
    Light the night with colleagues, friends and family in September. Join Outback Steakhouse and many others for this special evening.
  • Team In Training® (TNT)
    TNT is the world's largest endurance sports training program. Join the team!
  • The Leukemia Cup Regatta
    Sailors and crew members in The Leukemia Cup Regatta events compete against each other in a fundraising competition that runs along with an actual sailing Regatta.

  • School & YouthSM Programs
    Kids helping kids is what makes this program so unique.  Students are encouraged to collect coins. By pooling their change for this three-week campaign, your school can help fight leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

  • Man & Woman of The Year
    This annual campaign is where candidates compete for the title of Man or Woman of The Year.  The campaign is based on their fundraising success.  Each dollar raised is a vote and the candidate, per gender, with the most votes is named Man or Woman of the Year.
