New Research Summaries

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is pleased to offer PDF versions of brochures that highlight the latest work of researchers affiliated with the organization.

  • Research Horizons (May 2003) highlights new findings on the application of gene therapy to leukemia and lymphoma.
  • Research Horizons (January 2003) is the newest Society bulletin, providing news on studies and recent updates in blood cancer research.
  • Leading the Way Toward New Therapies is a highly readable and informative summary of major new trends in blood cancer research. The publication presents the insights of exceptional scientists, who shared their work and ideas at a symposium sponsored by the Society during the 43rd Annual American Society of Hematology (ASH) Conference in December 2001.
  • The U.S. Department of Defense 2002 Annual Report presents an update on the department's Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia Research Program (CMLRP). The report quotes Alan Kinniburgh, Ph.D., Vice President, Research Administration, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and a member of the CMLRP Fiscal Year 2002 Integration Panel. Other Panel scientists affiliated with the Society are Alan Gewirtz, M.D., University of Pennsylvania, and Vice Chair, Medical and Scientific Affairs, the Society's National Board of Trustees; and Moshe Talpaz, M.D., University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
