Over the past six years, Society Ties and Casino Night has raised thousands of dollars to help in the research for cures of blood-related cancers while bringing together a diverse group of people from the Washington metropolitan area in a social atmosphere.
Society Ties began as an outreach program by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to young professionals in area communities. The National Capital Area Chapter of Society Ties began in 1997 and their first event was a black-tie gala, called Casino Night. Since then, Casino Night has been the premier event for Society Ties and helps to fund their outreach to area patients and their families.
