Planning and preparing for the UPCI Leukemia Golf Open is currently underway as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society strives to surpass last year's profit of over $300,000, our highest net ever. Established in 1979, this golf outing is the Society's longest running events in the local area.
The event will begin on Friday, June 12, 2009, at the Pittsburgh Field Club, where golfers and guests will enjoy an evening dinner program, which includes cocktails, dinner, a silent and live auction and the presentation of the Roy Chipman Memorial Courage Award. Golfers will then take to the tees on Monday, June 15, 2009, in a best ball competition. Morning and afternoon shotgun starts are available. Raffles, closest-to-the pin, and hole-in-one competitions are held throughout the day. A continental breakfast, lunch and award reception will also be available for the golfers to enjoy.

The Steelers are having a magical journey through the playoffs this season. This is your time to be part of the game. The UPCI Leukemia Golf Open Committee is proud to present The Ultimate Steeler Ticket. Purchase your chance for only $50, and you could be the lucky winner of:
- Two Club Level season tickets to the 2009-2010 season, which includes two pre-season home games and eight regular seaon home games (This does not include playoff tickets under any circumstance. Attendance is the winner's discretion.)
