Writers' Views On Cancer

LLS "Writers' Views On Cancer" presents the ideas and words of published writers to help you make choices about further reading. Each featured writer discusses how cancer has touched his or her life. 




Jimmie Holland, M.D. - Dr. Holland is a pioneer in the psychosocial issues related to cancer

Wendy S. Harpham, M.D. - Dr. Harpham is a physician, lymphoma survivor and a mother who writes about survivorship and parenting issues

Kris Carr - In 2003, 31-year-old Kris Carr, an actress and photographer, was diagnosed with a rare and incurable cancer. Kris shares her story of survival experience with creativity, strength and humor.

Mary Brent Knutsson - A writer discusses her 5 year old daughter's diagnosis of acute lymphocytic leukemia in 2005, her journey to wellness, and the inspiration behind her book for young leukemia patients.

Jamie Reno - Jamie Reno is a 12-year survivor of stage IV non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. He is a passionate advocate for lymphoma patients and an acclaimed singer-songwriter, author and journalist.
