The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man & Woman of the Year event is part of a national campaign to raise funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Hundreds of men and women in LLS chapters across the United States vie each year for the title. Candidates will raise funds in honor of our Boy and Girl of the Year, Jaidan Richardson and Olivia Penuell. Both children have battled a blood cancer.

The Maryland Chapter will launch its "Classic" Man & Woman of the Year campaign on February 18, 2009 and conclude the campaign with the announcement  of The "Classic" Man & Woman of the Year at the Grand Finale Celebration on May 1, 2009 at The Scottish Rite Masonic Center, Baltimore, MD.
