2009 SF Leukemia Cup Regatta a Complete Success!

Many thanks to all of the sailors, crew, Executive Committee members, yacht club members, donors, sponsors and supporters who helped make this year another award-winning year!

 

We closed Regatta weekend with more than $600,000 raised for the cause, making the SF Leukemia Cup the top charity regatta in the nation for the third consecutive year. And the donations just keep sailing in!

2009 Top Fundraising Boat

Full Throttle, $76,375 raised

Fantasy Sail Qualifiers
National Chairman, Gary Jobson, is looking forward to congratulating the following fundraisers who all raised/contributed more than $8,500 for the cause: Ian Charles, Matt Cromar, Kyle Elliott, Erica Embley, Anne Feinberg, David Joyner, Torin Knorr, John McNeill, Suzie Moore, Bill Nolan, Molly Prahl, and Bill Smith.  The Fantasy Sail will be held on October 17 at The San Francisco Yacht Club. 

 

The Optimist Pacific Coast Championship Youth Regatta
Seventy-two Optimists raced in this year's Youth Regatta. Congratulations to SFYC youth sailor Dylan Meade, who raised $582 this year!  Many thanks to everyone who dedicated their time and energy to making the Youth Regatta such a success.
