We encourage everyone to set a fundraising goal to support the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).  Fundraising can be easy, and we will provide you with all the tools and resources to be successful.  Not only will you be supporting a great cause by securing donations, but you will be eligible for great incentives including the Fantasy Sail with Gary Jobson.

START EARLY
Set a fundraising goal for you and your crew.  In 2008, the average sailor raised $398.  Aim to have each person on your boat reach that level in 2009!

ONLINE FUNDRAISING
After you register either online or offline, you will be given a free Online Fundraising Page.  Take advantage of online fundraising, as it is a fast and easy way to raise big bucks for LLS.  Historically, the average online donation is three times bigger than if someone donates via cash or check.  Plus, there's no paperwork for you!  Take 5 minutes to set up your page and send out emails to those you know.  You'll be surprised how easy it is to raise funds! 

You can access your Online Fundraising Page or download the Offline Pledge Form if you're not comfortable with online fundraising.  If you need detailed instructions in setting up your online page, click here for a printable one-page help sheet.  You can certainly combine online fundraising with offline donations.  We will add your two totals in the end to come up with your total funds raised.  If you registered offline and have not received an email with your login name and password for your online page, please contact Jared Nielsen for help. 

LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN
One of the best ways to raise money is to put your request in writing.  Write a letter and send it to friends, family, co-workers, church members, your holiday card list, etc.

Who Do I Mail To...Everyone! 

MATCHING GIFTS
Ask your donors if their company matches gifts.  It's an easy way to double their donation!  Click here for a list of companies that match gifts.  Keep in mind, you will only receive credit for a match once we receive a check from the company.

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP
Ask the companies you have a connection to if they would be willing to become a Regatta Sponsor.  As a sponsor, they would receive some great exposure and publicity.  If you plan to pursue a sponsorship, feel free to contact Jared Nielsen for guidance.
Regatta Sponsorship Proposal - 2009

AUCTION ITEMS
Collect items for the silent auction which will be held the Saturday of the Regatta Weekend.  You will receive credit for the amount that the item sells for.  All items must be turned in with commitment forms by Thursday, September 10.  Items received after the deadline will not be displayed until Saturday, or may be used in a future silent auction benefiting LLS.
