September 18 - 20, 2009 White Bear Lake, MN Set sail and cruise for a cure! The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a racing and fundraising competition that combines the joy of sailing with the important task of raising money to fight blood cancers. Since 1993, the Leukemia Cup Regatta Series has raised an amazing $27 million for blood cancer research, patient advocacy and education.
This year will mark the 6th Annual Leukemia Cup Regatta for the Minnesota Chapter. In just five years, the Minnesota Chapter's Regatta has become a fall tradition that has helped raise over $338,000. The event brings sailors from across the state together for a weekend of sailing, socializing and helping to find a cure.
Participants in the Regatta raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of the local Honored Skipper and Crewmate. The Honorees' provide inspiration and motivation, as well as represent the daily and lifelong challenges that a blood cancer diagnosis brings.
Come join in on the weekend festivities, as the Leukemia Cup Regatta series is about more than boats and crews racing. It's about thousands of sailors who have elevated their competition to a whole new level - they race to save lives.
