Thank You, Sailors!
A big thank you goes out to all of the sailors that participated in The Leukemia Cup Regatta in 2009. Together, you raised an impressive $100,000 to help end the fight against blood cancers. Congratulations to The North Star Sail Club for retaining The Debbie Sobel Leukemia Cup Trophy for the third consecutive year for outstanding fundraising efforts. Keep fundraising, and see you in 2010.
Sail Michigan. Join The Crew That Cares.
Join sailors and crew members from across Michigan and Canada to come together for a day of sailing and to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®(LLS). The Leukemia Cup Regatta participants compete against each other in a fundraising competition that runs along with an actual sailing Regatta. Boats sail in honor of local cancer survivors. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society provides all the materials necessary for the sailors to help raise money to fight blood cancers.
There are also opportunities to form a partnership between your company and LLS's Michigan Chapter to gain exposure and to benefit blood cancer research and patient service programs. All participating sailors, crew and supporters have the opportunity to earn great incentives as a thank-you for supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Raise a sail to help find cure at an event near you!

The Debbie Sobel Leukemia Cup
For eight years, Debbie Sobel was the Honored Hero for all the Michigan Chapter's Leukemia Cup Regattas. On February 18, 2008, Debbie lost her battle with MDS leukemia. Debbie was a true inspiration to our sailors and touched the lives of all of the sailors that she met. Debbie's presence was missed at our

events, but her memory will go on. The Michigan Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is proud to announce the creation of Debbie Sobel Leukemia Cup.The Debbie Sobel Leukemia Cup, replacing the Challenge Cup, will be presented each year to the club who raised the most through their Leukemia Cup Regatta event.
